Three Tenors Jazz with Bill Hurd, Lannie McMillan & Charles Campbell

Help us welcome “Three Tenors”— these being three masters of the tenor saxaphone, Bill Hurd, Lannie MacMillan and Charles Campbell.  And all Memphians! Dr. Bill Hurd is a man of many lives. Track star (Manassas High and Notre Dame), world-renowned ophthalmologist, inventor… oh, and a master musician playing with the likes of Kirk Whalum, Isaac Hayes, and Maurice White.  Germantown High School and Memphis State both enjoyed Lannie MacMillan’s blend of arranging and band leading. His performances mingle straight-up Bee-Bop with standard jazz.  Charles Campbell was a member of B.B.King’s All Stars and played at King’s memorial service. He will blend that sweet showmanship that B.B. was so famous for with smooth sax tones.  Join us for a curated evening with three masters of the tenor saxophone Bill Hurd, Lannie MacMillan and Charles Campbell.

After each performance, join us for Cocktails & Conversation in the main lobby. This is an opportunity to visit with other concert goers and when available, the Jazz in the Box artists. Drinks will be available for purchase at the lobby bar.

Tickets are at GPACweb.com.
