What’s Happening?

The BBB Featuring Bernie Dresel is blistering big band jazz with rockabilly flair, blending top-tier musicianship with a signature rhythmic drive. This 16-piece ensemble offering a compelling mix of intricate arrangements, tight swing, and dynamic energy — a must-see for fans of tight powerful drumming and big band brilliance with fun swingin’ arrangements!

At the helm is drummer extraordinaire Bernie Dresel. Modern Drummer readers’ poll named him “Best Big Band Drummer” and Drum! Magazine put him on their list of “53 Drummers Who Made a Difference in the ’90s” along with a Drummie for Best Big Band Drummer. He has backed Maynard Ferguson, The Brian Setzer Orchestra, and Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, playing on numerous Grammy Award® winning recordings, along with hundreds of motion picture/television soundtrack credits including Incredibles 2, Minions, The Simpsons and Family Guy.

This hard swinging band, full of seasoned pros, will be playing selections from their 4 albums including the just released vinyl “Number One Son”, recorded live to tape at EastWest Studios in Hollywood. Uniquely different by today’s standards, this recording used a completely analog signal path capturing the entirety of the warmth, energy, and timbre that only such an audiophile recording can offer (available to sample and buy at SoundscapesMedia.com)
