What's happening?

Gallery 1516 will be CLOSED to the public until mid-April.

Spontaneity is a celebration of contemporary abstract art produced by Nebraska artists. Featuring the work of James Bockelman, Dan Howard, Jerry Jacoby (1938 – 2018), Diane Lounsberry-Williams, Ann Pape, Larry Roots, Mark Sabaliauskas, Nancy Teague, JK Thorsen, and Beverly Todd, this exhibition brings together artists who share the qualities of spontaneous expression, vibrant color, and unique use of line and form. Initiated by Beverly Todd, Spontaneity showcases just some of the abstract artists currently working throughout the state. These artists demonstrate the tradition of abstraction and abstract expressionism that is thriving in Nebraska.
