An Evening of Songs and Stories with Legendary Artist Patti Smith

Other Beer, Wine, Spirits Live Music Other Entertainment

What’s Happening?

Each ticket includes a paperback copy of Bread of Angels.

Boswell Book Company and The Pabst Theater Group present an evening of songs and stories with legendary artist Patti Smith. The National Book Award-winning author of Just Kids, Woolgathering, and M Train appears with her radiant and intimate memoir, Bread of Angels.

In this moving account of her life, Smith recalls her post-war childhood, the first glimmers of teenage art and romance, true love and devotion, profound loss, and a life driven by artistic freedom and the power of the imagination to transform the commonplace into the magical, pain into hope.

From The Guardian: “Smith’s incantatory voice shines through in this surprisingly revelatory follow up… It could be described as Just Kids’ prequel and sequel… casts a potent spell, and you’ll learn as much about the artist from her style as from the stories themselves.”

Patti Smith is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, and Horses has been hailed as one of the top 100 albums of all time. Smith has been a recipient of the ASCAP Founders Award, the PEN/Audible Literary Service Award, the Legion d’honneur, and has been awarded the title of Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture. Her global art exhibitions include Strange Messenger, Camera Solo, and Evidence.
