What’s Happening?

Callaway County Senior Expo to Connect Older Adults with Community Resources, Health Screenings and Valuable Services

Older adults, caregivers, family members, and community supporters are invited to attend the Callaway County Senior Expo, a free event designed to connect residents with resources that promote healthy, active, and independent living.

The expo will take place on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at the Callaway County YMCA, 1715 Wood Street in Fulton.

More than 40 organizations from across mid-Missouri will be on hand to provide information, answer questions, and connect attendees with services related to health care, Medicare, home care, legal assistance, financial planning, housing, caregiving, volunteer opportunities, wellness programs, and aging services.

In addition to information sharing, attendees will have access to several free health screenings and wellness services, including:
- Blood pressure screenings provided by Walmart Pharmacy and Callaway Physicians
- Flu vaccinations from the Callaway County Health Department and Walmart Pharmacy (insurance billing available; attendees should bring their insurance cards)
- Blood glucose screenings and diabetes education provided by Jefferson City Medical Group
- A1C screenings provided by Boone Health Community Wellness
- Vision screenings provided by the Walmart Vision Center
- Grip strength testing provided by Peak Sport and Spine
- Additional wellness screenings and services from participating healthcare organizations

"The Senior Expo offers a convenient opportunity for older adults and their families to learn about the many resources available in our community all in one location," said event organizers. "Whether someone is looking for healthcare information, Medicare counseling, volunteer opportunities, housing resources, caregiving support, or community programs, this event has something for everyone."

The event is free to attend and open to older adults, caregivers, family members, and those who love them throughout Callaway County. Attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable bag to collect information, resources, and giveaways from participating exhibitors. Guests who plan to receive flu shots should bring their health insurance cards.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter prize raffles throughout the event, including several hundred dollars' worth of gas and grocery gift cards, along with additional prizes donated by participating organizations.

As part of the event's commitment to supporting the local community, organizers are encouraging attendees to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the SERVE Food Pantry. Donations will help support local individuals and families experiencing food insecurity and will provide an easy way for expo attendees to give back while gathering resources for themselves and their loved ones.
