Seeing and Hearing the Data: Birds, Art and the Changing Planet - Virtual Panel via Zoom

Museum Exhibit Art Exhibition

What’s Happening?

Join us on Thursday, November 12 at 5:00 PM PST for a virtual panel exploring the intersection of birding, data visualization, and artistic creativity. Featuring exhibiting artist Nathalie Miebach, musician and naturalist David Rothenberg (author of Why Birds Sing), and Danny Karp, Professor in the Department of Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology at UC Davis, the conversation will examine how ecological change is reshaping bird habitats, and how data, sound, and art can help us see and hear the natural world in new ways. The discussion will be moderated by Kayleigh Perkov, guest curator of The Data at Hand: Data Physicalizations of Earth and Space. This event is free and open to the public via Zoom.
