Williams Route 66 Marathon

Running Marathon

What’s Happening?

Tulsa, Oklahoma | Saturday and Sunday, November 21-22, 2026 | Marathon, Half Marathon, Marathon Relay, Double Challenges, 5K, 1-Mile Fun Run and Walk

Participate to Celebrate

Run on the Mother of all Roads. This year, Williams Route 66 Marathon celebrates two milestones that call for a party!

First up, you’ll mark your accomplishment at the Williams Route 66 Marathon as Route 66 celebrates its centennial – that’s 100 years of adventures, memories, and miles along the most iconic route in the U.S.

Plus, the party really starts as the Williams Route 66 Marathon turns 21! Known for its rockin’ atmosphere and boozy surprises along the course, it’s about time that this beloved race could say, “Cheers!” Join us as we toast to these two special anniversaries.

Explore the Best of Tulsa

Start your race in downtown Tulsa, home of the largest concentration of Art Deco architecture outside of Miami, and then make your way through Tulsa’s vibrant and diverse neighborhoods and the campus of the University of Tulsa. If there’s one thing you can count on at the Williams Route 66 Marathon, it’s tons of on-course support from the local community and plenty of fun. Neighborhoods host block parties all along the course to welcome and cheer on the runners! The Williams Route 66 Marathon is a USATF-certified course and a Boston Qualifier.

Unbeatable Swag with Larger-Than-Life Spirit

As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Route 66, the 2026 Williams Route 66 Marathon participant swag is being designed to match the moment.

From race morning to recovery mode, every item is being created with comfort, style, and centennial-level nostalgia in mind. This year’s medal collection is being designed to honor the history, nostalgia, and larger-than-life spirit of the Mother Road in a way that’s worthy of the centennial celebration. Whether you’re taking on your first miles or chasing all 26.5 with the Center of the Universe detour, this year’s medals are built to commemorate a truly once-in-a-lifetime moment on Route 66.

50-Stater and Maniac Perks

Are you a member of the 50 State Marathon Club, the Half Fanatics or the Marathon Maniacs? Get ready for the ultimate VIP treatment on race weekend with special perks made just for your organizations. Community Connection

The Williams Route 66 Marathon Charity Program and Corporate Challenge create unique experiences within the race, allowing organizations to promote wellness and runners to make their miles mean more for Kicks For Kids and Ainsley’s Angels.

Locals bring the energy to the course. Each year, neighborhoods along the marathon route transform into lively block parties, with supporters cheering on runners from all over the country.
