with Resident Teacher, Sarah Frew

Everyone Welcome, no experience necessary

Buddha’s Tantric teachings and meditations are all about taking charge of our own identity and steering it in a meaningful direction. By imagining ourselves as more loving more compassionate, and more wise we can break free from our mundane appearances and ideas and awaken our vast potential for happiness. Through special Tantric meditation methods, we can develop both our wisdom and our compassion until they produce a bliss so powerful that it completely purifies our mind and we quickly attain enlightenment. In this day course you will learn what Tantra is, why we need it, and how to practice it yourself. Everyone welcome, no experience necessary.

At this retreat, people from DC, MD, VA, PA, & NJ will be gathering to enjoy meditation and visiting with each other in a relaxed country setting.  During this inspiring retreat, we will be learning how to recognize, reduce, and even eliminate anger from our mind, and will gain methods to help us experience the peace of acceptance in its place.

One of our most destructive states of mind is anger.  It can so easily arise when we encounter something we do not like or we fail to satisfy our desires. If anger is not recognized early on, it becomes a poison that destroys our inner peace and happiness and incites us to do harmful actions that cause suffering for ourself and others.

The teachings will be based on the text How to Solve Our Human Problems, by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. Everyone welcome!

Cost: $250 per person for a 3-person shared room. Cost includes accommodation, vegetarian meals (Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast), and retreat sessions.
