Location: Miami Yoga Garage

Friday Schedule:

6:00pm - 8:00pm Evening Mysore Style Class:

Led classes are wonderful. We can unplug and wait for the teacher to tell us what to do next. This is soothing, nurturing and fulfilling. This approach however is like a chaperoned relationship with the yoga. The teacher always looking over our shoulder to remind us of every breath and movement. This is a blessed way to practice and is certainly valid! But within this approach we can run the risk of becoming dependent on the teachers’ guidance to the point that we do not have a sense of our own rhythm, timing and breath. In order to truly develop a deep and personal relationship with the yoga we need to wean our self away from the teachers’ words and seek the voice of Ashtanga as it arises through the sound of our own breath and the dancing flow of the sequence. The teacher is still present yet only to assist where absolutely necessary. To guide when needed and advise when required. Now the depths of practice spread’s her arms and welcomes us into the flow. This relationship once established is freedom! Now we stand on our own and walk hand in hand with the practice and the ancient wisdom gained from the direct connection. The greatest teachers instill strength, independence, and confidence into their students. Mysore practice is a stepping-stone to the path of self-reliance.

Come and see for yourself!

12:30pm – 3:00pm Entering the Jungle and Animal Encounters Practicum:
