Enjoy a week of the Austin Studio Tour at the Neill-Cochran House Museum, virtually and in-person!

Join the Neill-Cochran House Museum the week of November 14 - 22 for Big Medium’s Austin Studio Tour featuring our live or virtual exhibition of If These Walls Could Talk and our wildly popular African American History in Central West Austin Driving Tour. The Museum is excited to be participating in the tour as a safe place to view art and will offer a combination of in-person events blended with virtual options. We encourage people to visit the museum for an in person viewing of the final days of If These Walls Could Talk. A musical performance by Beerthoven will be offered in-person in addition to the option of viewing the performance using virtual reality technology (VR) googles. The full line-up of events is below. RSVP’s are required for all events and some events are ticketed. Ticketed packages start at $15 for adults and $5 for children. Single tickets are available. November 13-15 – Beerthoven 360: Sacred and Profane: Live performance at the Museum
November 14 – Launch of the Austin Studio Tour, first chance to take the African American History in Central West Austin Driving Tour
November 15 – Virtual Sunday Funday: The Art of Historic Pomanders
November 18 – Beethoven Goggles (VR headsets) available at the Neill-Cochran House Museum
November 19 – If These Walls Could Talk Finale Celebration at the Neill-Cochran House Museum
November 22 – If These Walls Could Talk closes at the Neill-Cochran House Museum

Learn about the Freedman neighborhoods of Austin.  Participate in the African American History in Central West Austin Driving Tour and experience the history of Clarksville and Wheatville neighborhoods with the people who live there. 

Live musical performances - and a virtual option - will be offered by Beerthoven.  Beerthoven Goggles will be debuted that permit the user to experience a live, musical Beerthoven concert sit in virtual reality. 

Need something for the kids? A Virtual Sunday Funday will show little (and big!) hands how to make a Pomander to get ready for the holiday season. 

The Neill-Cochran House Museum complies with CDC recommendations to ensure the safety of our visitors, performers, and staff, and requires guests to wear masks while on our site.

More about Neill-Cochran House Museum
The Neill-Cochran House Museum is located in the heart of Austin, TX, just a few minutes walk from the UT-Austin campus. We steward the city's 10th oldest historic site (1856), including Austin's only intact slave quarters. We share our site, Austin, and Texas history from the city's birth in 1839 up to 1930 through historically furnished spaces as well as numerous rotating art and history exhibitions.
