National bestselling author, Dan Chaon, joins Jacksonville University as the Sixth Annual Ralph and Anina Walter Visiting Writer. Chaon is a masterful novelist and short story author who combines literary and pulp fiction genres characterized by psychologically complex characters, riveting plot lines, and emotional depth. His short story collection Among the Missing was a National Book Award finalist. His bestselling novel Ill Will was recognized by the New York Times as one of the best books of 2017, and his most recent novel, Sleepwalk, has been met with wide critical acclaim.  Join us for a reception followed by an author's talk and book-signing.
