PATRIOTIC PARADE & CONCERT

Parades

What’s Happening?

The Third Annual Patriotic Parade will highlight our Nation's Tuskegee Airmen with a free exhibit along the Gene Leahy Mall and a P51c Mustang airplane! Over 40 members of the USMC's Marching Band from New Orleans will march on Omaha's streets & perform in the free concert immediately following the parade. Fort Riley's Mounted Color Guard returns for the third year to lead the Parade and over 80 entries will step in line behind them.

This is Memorial Day weekend and the Parade honors our Nation's Gold Star Families, military veterans and first responders. There is also a historical segment with children & adults in period costumes of our nation's history, along with cars, tractors, and military vehicles.

P51c Mustang - Two flights are being offered on Friday, May 26 or Friday, May 27. You may bid on either or both flights at HiBid.com.

Anyone can view the Mustang up close from 1-5 pm Friday and 1-4 pm Saturday at Signature Aircraft, 3636 Wilbur Plaza, Omaha, just east of Eppley Airfield. There is no admission fee.

The "RISE ABOVE" exhibit will be free to the public from 9am-5pm Friday, May 26, and Saturday, May 27. It will be parked on the north side of the Gene Leahy Mall and offers the opportunity to see two movies about the Tuskegee Airmen and Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), who overcame great challenges and struggles to serve their country.

The Saturday morning Patriotic Parade begins at 10am heading west from 10th & Jackson to 12th Street, then North to Howard and east to 10th before turning north on 10th to Farnam where it ends at 13th near the Gene Leahy Mall.

A (free) Concert immediately follows the Parade at the Performance Pavilion. Gold Star family members will speak the names of their Fallen loved ones and the USMC Marching Band will perform, along with other very patriotic segments.

This is a not-to-be missed weekend event to emphasize the importance of honoring our fallen military who paid the ultimate price for our freedom, while celebrating America. Bring your kids, grandkids, neighbors & friends, add some lawn chairs and sandwiches, and plan for a beautiful day in downtown Omaha.

More about Patriotic Productions, Inc.
We are a patriotic non-profit whose mission is to honor our living and fallen veterans, while instilling patriotism in Americans. A Patriotic Parade is held each Memorial Day Weekend in Downtown Omaha to honor our Nation's Gold Star Families, Military Veterans and First Responders. Additionally, there are two (traveling) identical "Remembering Our Fallen" National Memorials that honor our Nation's Post-9/11 military Fallen. More locally, we have a Purple Heart Balloon, Tomb of the Unknown (half-size replica), and state memorials for Iowa & Nebraska of our Fallen who called those states home. Between 2008-2019, Patriotic Productions flew 3,500 Veterans to Washington, D.C., and we created a "Flights of Honor" exhibit to share these wonderful memories.
