Korean War Remembrance Ceremony - 70th Anniversary of Armistice

Exhibit History Veteran

What’s Happening?

The Korean War was known as "The Forgotten War," as it soon followed World War II, and Americans, war-weary, preferred to not think about it. Those who served, many who had also served during WW II, said the Korean War was worse than WW II, with temps often -35 degrees.

The ceremony will include two Korean War Veterans, who won't mind the heat after serving in the coldest war, along with a Bob Hope impersonator and the Greg Spevak Orchestra.

A half-sized replica of the Korean War Memorial in Washington, D.C., along with Korean War re-enactors, will be stationed on the lower south end of Memorial Park all day Friday & Saturday, July 28 & 29.

There will be a large tent (for shade) with seating for 500. All are welcome to this ceremony to honor our Korean War Veterans. While registration is not required, it would be helpful to know if Korean War Veterans and/or families of Korean War Veterans are attending. Please email: info@PatrioticProductions.org.

The Korean War Memorial and re-enactors can be seen at Memorial Park all day Friday & Saturday, July 28 & 29.

This is a FREE event. More info: www.PatrioticProductions.org

More about Patriotic Productions, Inc.
We are a patriotic non-profit whose mission is to honor our living and fallen veterans, while instilling patriotism in Americans. A Patriotic Parade is held each Memorial Day Weekend in Downtown Omaha to honor our Nation's Gold Star Families, Military Veterans and First Responders. Additionally, there are two (traveling) identical "Remembering Our Fallen" National Memorials that honor our Nation's Post-9/11 military Fallen. More locally, we have a Purple Heart Balloon, Tomb of the Unknown (half-size replica), and state memorials for Iowa & Nebraska of our Fallen who called those states home. Between 2008-2019, Patriotic Productions flew 3,500 Veterans to Washington, D.C., and we created a "Flights of Honor" exhibit to share these wonderful memories.
