Black Spirits Matter

Tastings Class Spirits

What’s Happening?

Imagine entering one of the most beautiful buildings in Penn Quarter. Ride the 2nd elevator installed in DC to the event space where you are greeted by music and your "Spirit Guide" who will be leading you through the class. Grab some nibbles from the grazing board while you wait for the fun to start. Enjoy the stories the "Spirit Guide" shares about the producers and the spirits while you sip. After tasting through everything, you will learn how to make a classic cocktail out of one of the spirits. If you fall in love with one of the selections, you are more than welcome to purchase it at the end of class to take home with you. Join us as we share with you why Black Spirits Matter!

All attendees must be over 21 to attend. You will need to provide a government-issued photo ID card verifying your age to receive admittance into the event.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

National Union Building is in historic Penn Quarter, where we recommend taking Metro or Lyft/Uber since parking is at a premium on the street or via garages in the neighborhood. Our venue does not have a parking lot.

It is best to take any purchases with you at the end of class. However, if necessary, we can arrange for it to be picked up the following day.
