Holy Week & Easter at First Presbyterian Church

Easter

What’s Happening?

Palm Sunday, March 24  Click here for livestreaming
8:30 and 11:00am Worship in the Sanctuary
10:45am Ignite Worship in the Worship & Arts Center

On Palm Sunday we remember Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem just days before He is betrayed, tried, and crucified. Our services will include inspiring music by the Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra, and the Ignite Worship Team. Children will help us turn our hearts and minds toward Jesus by waving palm branches in a processional, symbolizing the palms laid on the path Christ took into the city. A nursery is available for all services.

Maundy Thursday, March 28 Click here for livestreaming
7:00pm Worship with the Lord’s Supper in the Sanctuary

This powerful and deeply moving service takes us back to the Upper Room, where Jesus spent His last meal with the disciples, washed their feet, and spoke of his betrayal and death. As we focus our thoughts on all that took place that evening, Maundy Thursday helps us see Jesus for who He is - the One whose death takes away all our sins. We will share communion together during this service.

Easter Sunday, March 31 Click here for livestreaming
8:30am Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary
9:15am Ignite Contemporary Service in the Worship & Arts Center
10:45am Ignite Contemporary Service in the Worship & Arts Center
11:00am Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary

Easter Sunday is a joyous day of celebration as we give God glory for the Resurrection and victory over death. Each of the four services will have special music by the Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra, and the Ignite Worship Team, as well as a message by Dr. Gibbons. If you’re looking for a place to attend an Easter service, we’d love to have you join us. A nursery is available for all services.
