What’s Happening?

Create nature-inspired art with Winston- Salem-based artist Mona King. Learn about her unique artistic practice and create your own moss artwork inspired by her work. Suitable for all ages, this hands-on workshop promises an enlightening experience where art and nature are blended.

Registration is FREE. All attendees must pre-register.  

Moss Kits include:

6 x 6 inch wood frame
3 moss colors (in bags)
 river rocks (in bags)
small branches
small fern fronds
washable glue (dispenser)
Child size Allergy Free Nitrile gloves

Kaleideum is an experiential learning museum of arts, sciences, and exploration formed by the merger of The Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem and SciWorks in July 2016. The two museums merged into a single organization to reimagine learning and better meet the needs of our diverse community by providing more access to informal science discovery and cultural experiences.
