What’s Happening?

The Jack Turner Band describes their band as Classic Rock / Pop / Old School Cool. The Richmond, Virginia based group is made up of talented musicians who join Jack in covering amazing songs from enduring rock and pop artists.

The Jack Turner Band loves to cover a wide variety of great song selections from artists who have stood the test of time, delivering an experience of discovery and nostalgia. The band includes classics and less-often played selections from Steely Dan, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Tom Petty, Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, Amy Winehouse, Carole King, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Led Zeppelin, the Doobie Brothers and more.

Jack’s love of music has been a constant in his life since early childhood.

Jack's love of music was fostered through piano lessons with Mrs. Jeanne Lappiere, a musical family, education in Henrico County Public Schools music departments, and at Belmont University in Nashville where he completed a music degree in 2022. Always looking to participate, create, and share his God-given love for music, Jack has collaborated in writing and arranging with fellow Belmont student-artists, producing original jazz, hip hop, and R&B music.

Always looking to participate, create, and share his God-given love for music, Jack is continuing his studies to earn a masters in music education. While he prepares for a career in music education, he enjoys session work with great artists such as Phil Keaggy and teaching students at Bach to Rock school of music.

Talented musicians in the band include an accomplished percussionist, younger brother Will Burgoyne, Jack and Will's father Bill on guitar, and family friend Jim McCauley on bass. The band also includes other musicians from community, friends, family, school and church. The Jack Turner Band is passionate about recognizing great music and sharing the joy of the gift of music.
