What’s Happening?

Is it Fact or Fiction?

Can an owl turn his head all the way around? Can a snake hypnotize you? Can he spit poison? Are turkey vultures raptors or not?

We will do a little myth-busting to find the answers to these and other questions about some of our resident animals. This fun family program will include slime-making, eating spooky cookies (decorated by YOU!), and other exciting activities.

$10.00 for members; $20 for non-members. Members must sign in to receive discount.

More about Fontenelle Forest
Founded in 1913, Fontenelle Forest is one of Nebraska's oldest conservation organizations and one of the largest private nature centers in the nation. This federally designated 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity is a National Natural Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. Fontenelle Forest owns and manages two nature centers: Fontenelle Forest Nature Center in Bellevue and Neale Woods in Omaha. The properties encompass over 2,100 acres of forest, prairie and wetlands along the Missouri River in the geographically significant Loess Hills. The mission of Fontenelle Forest is to provide a place where people can experience and enjoy the quiet wild of nature. We want to inspire current and future generations to care for the natural world.
