What’s Happening?

As part of the VMHC’s 250th initiative, join the VMHC for a special in-person version of our popular Movie Mythbusting series. Guests will enjoy a live screening of the action-adventure blockbuster National Treasure (2004), starring Nicolas Cage, Diane Kruger, and Sean Bean, with live commentary from VMHC staff on what’s true, what’s not, and unique connections to the VMHC collection.

Tickets include after-hours access to the VMHC's signature VA250th exhibition, Give Me Liberty: Virginia & The Forging of a Nation.

Wraps, sandwiches, salads, snacks (including popcorn!), and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase from the museum café.  

Please note: 
•    National Treasure is rated PG. 
•    Due to the movie’s running time, we will be fast forwarding through certain sections to facilitate discussion. We suggest watching the movie on your own before attending the program.  

Schedule:
•    5:00 – 6:00 – Participants are welcome to arrive early to explore the exhibition or grab a drink in the museum café prior to the event. 
•    6:00 – 8:00 – National Treasure (2004) screening + live commentary.
